If I could give this 10 stars I would.This bag is fantastic. I needed a way to carry a large western saddle from TX to CO through several vehicle transports and multiple airports. I had ZERO plan of checking my saddle knowing how luggage can sometimes be handled and this bag was the perfect option.It has a sturdy construction and a decent thickness of padding. The zipper is hefty and the stitching/straps/hardware all seem quality and durable. It’s super easy to put on; unzip bag fully, set bag on saddle rack or equivalent with inside of bottom facing upward and top section flipped over to the side, set saddle on saddle rack/bottom section of bag, flop top part over, align with bottom, zip. Done!I hauled this thing through 3 airports including security (where I had to take it out and put it back in) and several large terminals. I had zero concern that the shoulder strap/hardware was going to give or the zipper was going to come undone/split.I like that it has an adjustable shoulder strap, two carrying handles on top, and a clip on the bottom of the stirrups to keep them from flapping around while you walk.As for size, the saddle I had was a rather large, full leather, all around saddle and I still had a TON of room to spare. Pretty sure if you wanted to you could fit a saddle made for some of the draft mixes/smaller drafts (don’t take my word for it though, make sure you measure!).It folds up for storage pretty well, it’s a little floofy from the padding, but that’s expected. I actually have decided instead of storing the bag I’m going to keep my saddle in it so it stays cleaner because it’s easy enough to get it in and out of.
