The Bear Puzzle Ball, is a unique toy for bears in zoos to help keep them occupied and stimulated. The ball is filled with particles of food and then dispensed in small amounts by the bear moving the tube up and down through the ball or shaken. The food falls into a hole in the tube and drops out of the end. The bears learn very quickly how to make it work. The food is inserted by zoo personnel into the ball by removing a shackle and sliding the tube down, then pouring it in. They then slide the tube back into position and replace the shackle and it’s now ready to go.
